The Tokyo Marui MP A4 is an airsoft replica of the H&K MP5, a famous submachine gun that saw the light of life in 1965, and is known for its compactness and handleability.
To make the Tokyo Marui MP A4 as realistic as possible, the metal upper receiver has been powder coated to make the surface texture feel authentic. The hand guard, lower receiver, butt plate, firing selector, and cocking lever are made of fibre reinforced nylon, a synthetic material that is indistinguishable from the original material.
To increase realism even more, the replica has been fitted with a recoil engine that generates recoil, and with an auto stop system that makes the replica stop firing as soon as the magazine is empty. To deactivate the auto stop, the bolt handle needs to be pushed back, better known as the ‘HK slap’. To be able to endure the ‘HK slap’ frequently, the replica has a solid structure and has been made of durable materials.
Tokyo Marui fitted the MP A4 with an M-SYSTEM that utilises 7 sensors to control and monitor the FET, FC (Fire Control), battery and motor. It also detects damage and abnormalities to some parts.
Besides semi and fully automatic firing modes, the MP A4 features a burst firing mode that fires three BB's successively. To select any of these firing modes, the fire mode selector can be operated on both sides of the replica, and generates a satisfying click when doing so.
Other features are the iconic polymer stock and a magazine that has a steel housing with weld seams (magazine is suited only for this replica).
